About the beach

Food and Drink

Sheer Rocks

Gazing out over the Caribbean sea from atop a cliff at Cocobay Resort, Sheer Rocks is a bright, busy eatery that offers a full spread of dining options set against majestic views.

The scenery here is simply breath-taking, and the Mediterranean-inspired tapas and dinner menus feature seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients. The icing on the proverbial cake? A lounge bar and daybeds.

Dennis Beach Bar and Restaurant

A quick stroll south gets you to the Dennis Beach Bar and Restaurant, an adulterated slice of Caribbean cuisine at its best. The casual vibe and authentic, mouth-watering dishes make for the perfect end to a long day spent lazing on Coco Beach – with all the sunset beauty you can handle.

Hamburgers, curries, and glorious cocktails served fresh for the ultimate beach shack experience.

The Nest Beach Bar

Head north and past the Cocobay Resort to Valley Church Beach, where The Nest awaits. Colourful, refreshing cocktails, bottled beers and quick bites can all be found here, and the bar transforms into a dizzying night club after dark, with some events closing with a complimentary breakfast. Now that’s what we call service!

Coco Beach has plenty to keep you entertained, whether your idea of a good holiday is snoozing by the pool, hitting the gym or pampering yourself from head to toe.

Get stretching, bending, and toning over at the Cocobay Resort. As well as a jam-packed line-up of fitness sessions, sign up for a nature walk led by the resort’s medicine man, hone your downward-facing dog with a qualified yoga instructor, and check out the wellness deck and spa: a thatched cottage and decking leading out to the sea, where massages and treatments for one or to share with a loved one are all on hand.

Head here for golf and tennis – with loads of restaurants and bars on offer to help cool you down afterwards. The Marina serves as a base for just about every island activity you could imagine, from boat tours and charters to diving experiences, car and buggy rentals, a gym, and even a sky drone tour!

A whirlwind excursion around Antigua’s west coast, departing from Jolly Harbour. Sugar Island Tours also offers custom-designed tours, including sightseeing at Fort Barrington and a full day’s fishing experience.

Caving, snorkelling, yachting, exhilarating boat rides and even an eco-tour.

Nellie Beazer whisks visitors away for immersive themed tours of the island, whether you’re interested in a jeep tour, all the local sights and history, or laid-back beach rides. Nellie offers both private and group tours – and there’s nobody who quite knows their stuff the way she does.

Never overwhelming, Coco Beach is nonetheless a lively, colourful spot – which means visitors have their pick of places to stay.

This is a refined, slick and stylish resort crammed full of everything visitors could hope for in a Caribbean getaway. The Cocobay Resort oozes effortless charm, thanks to its luxury cottages, waterfront suites and idyllic pools.

Home to a wellness deck, fitness sessions and a plethora of activities, we love the floating pool breakfast – an incredible touch for an experience quite unlike any other. Romantic packages are available, and the resort even has a members’ club to keep you updated on new developments and grant you access to special offers.

Over at the Wild Lotus Camp, it’s all about getting back to basics – or almost. Introducing camping with a luxurious twist for Antigua’s one and only glamping experience, this premium camp site is an opportunity to reconnect with nature and the authentic essence of the Caribbean’s natural environment.

Guests can choose between deluxe tents and luxury tents, all of which are lit by tiki torches and solar fairy-lights. Expect a firepit and marshmallows to tuck into on your first night, too. If you are looking to become one with the waves and doze off to sleep under the stars, you’ve come to the right place.

Scenic Spots

Coco Beach has spectacular sunset views. The surrounding landscape is also very beautiful and will make for great photo keepsakes.
